When will the Mythic Shards hardcover rewards be ready? Currently, Onyx Path have two projects finishing up at the printer and then plan to work through their backlog over the next year by possibly printing two or more projects at a time. To manage expectations and keep things flexible, Rich has said that he won't be providing a schedule or list of which projects he expects to go in what order, but we'll know as stuff actually is in process at the printer. So, we'll continue to have five dots in patience as we wait for these Scion books to get manufactured. The second I have any concrete news, I'll share. In the meantime, your best source is direct from the Onyx Path sits listed at the top of the update.
When will the VTT Tokens, Shirt Design, and digital wallpaper be ready? For these milestone markers, I think they'll just appear one day. These are usually based on the artwork from interior illustrations, though they have different dimensions and formatting, so may pop up at different times. Really, it's just about finding the time to hammer them together, and when the Onxy Path crew find that moment, these should come together quickly. Basically, I think we'll go from no dots filled in to ready for delivery in one update, but I don't know when that will be.
Bi-Monthly Schedule - as long as the status for all rewards remains the same, I will post our regular update every other month. Our next update will come in December.
Again, I'll only do that if there's nothing new to announce. If there's movement on any of the rewards, I'll update as soon as I have something to share rather than waiting two months to fill in a dot.
Pending Projects
I'm as eager as you to get these dots filled in; the second I have any new info I'll post a new update.

August 2026 Bi-Monthly Update
– Mon, Aug 24, 2026 at 06:36:11 AM
Hello Shard-striders,
As a reminder, after some backer voting in June, we've switched up to a bi-monthly schedule. So, you'll still be getting regular updates from me, they'll just come every other month. That's mostly because Onyx Path is working on their hardcover print backlog, but it's gonna take some time to sort through and catch up, so most of our updates will be pretty similar and boring. But if anything important pops up, you know I'll break the schedule to tell you as quickly as possible.
Rich talked about the challanges they've had with getting predictable printing costs and how they're working to get their backlog sorted over the next year in a recent Monday Meeting Notes. The TL;DR summary is they've got a handful of books to get into production once the current project is finished (which is still underway) and they may be doing a couple of books at a time to move through the titles, but he won't announce an order or what's in production until it's actually underway to keep expectations in check. So, there's work being done and we'll know when we see Mythic Shards going to press, but that's still some time ahead of us.
Pending Projects
The Onyx Path crew is focused on getting print projects queued up for the next year's catch up blitz, but I'll continue to poke them and see if they can find any spare moments to get some of our smaller stretch goal rewards out to us.

June 2026 Monthly Update

Hello Shard-striders,
I have no big updates to announce on our project. We've got a trio of stretch goals to get thrown together at some point, and our hardcover rewards need to have Onyx Path's print queue all ironed out. I can tell you that Onyx Path switched to a new printer at the end of last year and so far they've tested out the process with one deluxe hardcover book and one standard hardcover book, and they're lining up a multi-format project next. When that's all locked and loaded, they should have a pretty good understanding of the process for each kind of project and will hopefully be able to get more detailed with their print plans. But that's all for discussion at much higher levels than me. I'll pass along any info I find out.
In the meantime, you can learn more about the current and future plans for Scion from Onyx Path's recent Online Gaming Convention!
There's some pretty big news in there for the future of Scion, but let's get back to the right here, right now:
The SCION NEXUS on DEMIPLANE
The Scion Nexus is now live from Onyx Path's partners at Demiplane! The official digital companion for Scion 2nd Edition, the Scion Nexus brings digital books, searchable rules, guided character tools, and story guide-ready references together for campaigns in the world of modern myth.
The Scion Nexus integrates with Roll20, so a character created within the Nexus can be imported to use in Roll20.
The Scion 2e Jumpstart, A Light Extinguished, is free for all Nexus users!
If you have Scion: Origin and Scion: Hero purchased on Roll20, you automatically get them in Scion Nexus. If you have Origin and Hero purchased on DriveThruRPG, you can get them in Nexus at a discount.
You can also purchase Nexus content from within DriveThruRPG:
While we're waiting for Onyx Path to build their printing production runway, I'll keep you updated on our remaining stretch goals. None of these will take them long to hammer together, but it's just a matter of finding time in the schedule.

April 2026 Monthly Update

– Wed, Apr 22, 2026 at 09:59:24 AM
Hello Shard-striders,
We're still in a print/production holding pattern, circling overhead as the Onyx Path team figures out how to fill in their print schedule slots. They've successfully completed production and fulfillment with their new printing and distribution partners, so there's a template to apply as they go forward, and a few projects have already joined the queue, but not this one just yet.
So, I'll continue to monitor and ask about our pending Stretch Goal milestone markers and share info with you once a month. It's not very exciting, but I want you to know that I'm at least paying attention and checking in with the Onyx Path crew and reading Rich's Monday Meeting Notes so nothing will be forgotten or sneak by.
So let's get to it! Pretty much same as last month:
Pending Projects
Our hardcover is waiting for a slot on the schedule. Once that happens, I'll let you know.
